For any celebrity who has been buried under an overwhelming amount of success, it’s no surprise why some want to take a step back. If they don’t step away, it seems like they hang on for so long that they become bizarre, and that’s the end of their career.

These A-listers definitely fell off the map, but some comebacks were more surprising than others.

Jessica Alba Has Stepped Away From All Of Those Lists From Maxim And People Magazine

Alba gained attention for her good looks but didn’t star in groundbreaking roles. From 2001-2013, the actress was on numerous “hot” lists by Maxim and People.

These days, Alba is a successful businesswoman who went on to create The Honest Company, providing a safe and environmentally friendly house cleaning products.

Where Is Sam Worthington?

Worthington was a household name for a brief period. All of a sudden, the actor disappeared from the spotlight. Heck, even critics hailed him as one of the greatest actors of the 2000s.

Since his role in Avatar, Worthington has gone on to star in meaningless roles.

Brendan Fraser Wanted A Normal Life

The Canadian actor wanted to live a semi-normal life of mediocrity. The Mummy star was unable to pay alimony and child support debts that accumulated over $90,000.

Fraser would sell a majority of his possessions and packed up his things and moved to Bedford, New York.

Freddie Prinze Jr. Got Down With Adulting

His leading roles in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scooby Doo were memorable, but following the sequel to Scooby Doo, Prinze tackled adulting. He wed Sarah Michelle Geller, and the pair has two children together.

Outside of being a dad, Prinze has done voice acting, and he wrote his own cookbook.

Unlike His Good Pal Leonardo DiCaprio, Toby Maguire Has Been Pretty Quiet

The original Spiderman has seen much less success than this god pal, Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo finally got his long-awaited Oscar, but Maguire has done minimal acting since his Spiderman days.
