So often celebrities will be used as the faces of products in order to globally market and advertise them. So, we have compiled a list of the most successful of all time and the most recent campaign endorsements and celebs that you may not even know about yet!
Jessica Simpson: Proactiv
Many celebrities have been asked to be the face of the fresh and renewing acne product Proactiv over the years, but Jessica Simpson’s apparently stands out the most. Having once turned to Accutane to treat her cystic acne in her youth, Simpson swears to this day by ProActiv as the only acne fighting solution that has worked for her.
Proactiv can be a pricey purchase for the average person. That said, Simpson’s no average person, and she received a free handout of the product after advertising it probably so she didn’t all that much. But, one thing is for sure that the product worked to clear her skin enough for her to become the temporary face of such a heavily celebrity-endorsed product.
Emma Stone: Revlon
We all love to the see the bright and fresh face of Emma Stone as one of most famous Revlon girls, don’t we? With that natural beauty, infectious personality, and striking smile, she is the perfect face model for such a pure product. But, how many think that Emma actually rocks these red-toned shades in real life?
In an interview with her personal makeup artist, Fashionista blogger Cheryl Wishchhover inquired about the products used on Stone for the Amazing Spider Man 2 red carpet. To which she replied, “I used a lip liner underneath a berry stain (Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Adore and Chanel Aqua Crayon Lip Colour Stick in Rosewood), and on top of that I used a fun lip gloss (Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Raisin Rage). I wanted it to pick up the purple tone that was on her dress.” So, that answers that question!
Jennifer Lopez: Venus
As the face, and legs, of Gillette Venus, Jennifer Lopez is basically set to be smooth and shaved for life. As the company’s first ever global ambassador for the product, J Lo has been labeled as the “ultimate modern goddess.”
With both natural beauty and a hard working ethic, Gillette felt that Jennifer Lopez was the ideal woman that all female audiences could look up to in 2011 when they asked her to be the face of the brand. Granted, the millionairess probably gets professionally waxed to have perfect legs like those, but she will never run out of razors thanks to Venus!
Sofia Vergara: Pepsi Cola
Sofia Vergara is now a huge household name, being the star of the hit sitcom Modern Family. But well before the Colombian native became a megastar, she appeared in a variety of advertisements. In the 1980s, when Vergara was only 17 years old, she starred in a commercial for Pepsi.
In the cheesy 80s commercial, Vergara is shown on a beach and stripping down to her bikini. Interestingly, she doesn’t seem to have aged much in the 22+ years since the video was shot. Vergara is still a spokesmodel for Diet Pepsi now that she’s a big celebrity — that’s a long time that she’s been working with the soft drink company!
Shay Mitchell: Biore
Pretty Little Liars favorite Shay Mitchell is the perfect celeb to be the face of such a cleansing product like Biore with skin like that! In her typical face washing commercials, the beautiful up and coming actress and brand ambassador make a comment about not having “dirty little pores” thanks to Biore and we can only imagine how well this product actually works.
Even if Shay didn’t have the greatest skin, her free, lifetime supply of Biore would work tirelessly to fix that. In a Teen Vogue interview, Mitchell revealed her daily cleansing routine, using the Biore baking soda cleanser in both the morning and night, and swore her life by the one-minute self-heating mask.
David Beckham: H&M
Just as we would all hope that Beckham would stay true to the brands he chooses to apply his gorgeous face and perfectly athletic body too, he does. As the consistently featured face of H&M’s campaigns over the last few years, Beckham told Huffington Post in an interview that, “Everything about my Bodywear for H&M has to be authentic. If I wouldn’t wear it then it doesn’t go in the collection.”
Although he is the perfect face in general, it is quite interesting that H&M keeps returning to the retired footballer for their brand of men’s apparel as the female side of the brand seems to sell a bit more. But, maybe that’s the genius behind it and you know (especially now) that Beckham is rocking his free gear day and night.
Jennifer Aniston: Aveeno
For years now, Jennifer Aniston has been the perfect, soft-skinned face of Aveeno’s natural products and we never get sick of the commercials. Becoming their brand ambassador in 2013, Jen has never steered us wrong with these organic products.
But, controversy arose in 2016 when Aniston promoted Aveeno’s microbead facial scrub that was said to be aiding in the pollution of the environment. Claiming that she had been using the Aveeno scrub for the last ten years thanks to her makeup artist, Aniston held strong against the environmental flack she got over the product’s promotion. However, we see less and less of these commercials now, so maybe she backed off of the ambassador side for a bit while she still continues to use her free supply.
Kim Kardashian: Lumee
The queen of selfies actually managed to perfect the lighting and toning with the LuMee case and the world loves it. Caught up in the addiction of posting selfies, just like Kim, people are able to activate a beautiful white light on each side of the phone’s case that practically Photoshops the person’s face and gives them the ideal lighting in any dark environment for the perfect selfie.
As one of the creators of the product, Kim is easily awarded free LuMees whenever she pleases and serves as the first public ambassador for the product that has been positively reviewed by alm0ost every publication in the media.
Suki Waterhouse: Pop & Suki
Famous British supermodel Suki Waterhouse has begun to build her beautiful brand with the opening of her new Pop & Suki line. Both she and her partner in crime Poppy Jamie have become brand ambassadors for their majorly pink products that we are sure they are getting for free.
So far the brand only possesses a limited amount of monogrammed, high-end bags, luggage tag accessories and personalized jewelry, but we cannot wait to see what merchandise they add onto the already successful line. As the quality of the brand continues to grow in both popularity and quantity, it will be interesting to see whom Suki and Poppy bring along as faces of their girly, poppy label.
Kate Hudson: Fabletics
Kate Hudson is Fabletics, in case you hadn’t heard. Constantly being promoted in the tight, comfortable yoga clothing of the brand Fabletics, Hudson is not only a brand ambassador but also a co-founder of the workout apparel line that is sweeping the country in style.
With some of the cutest styles and durable fabrics and materials, Fabletics is easily on its way to becoming one of the most well-known exercise outfit lines in the world. Each month, subscribers can even receive “Kate-approved” outfit selections as members of the VIP Fabletics Club. If you follow Kate on Instagram or any other social media platform, you will see that she comfortably possesses a lifetime’s worth of Fabletics gear that she rocks each and every day.
Julia Roberts: Lancome
Announced in 2009 as the brand ambassador and Pretty Woman face of Lancome, Julia Roberts claimed “it’s a good moment for me to join forces with people who can help me,” making a joke about her inevitable aging process. Following in the footsteps of former Lancome-girl, Anne Hathaway, Roberts took on the role with grace, ease and an understanding of what the responsibilities of the role are.
Well beyond a pretty face, Roberts was chosen for the position due to her exceptional commitment to her craft, family, and body. Who doesn’t want a hefty supply of Lancome products? Luckily for her, Julia will have one for the rest of her life.
Stephen Curry: Under Armour
NBA’s most recent MVP Steph Curry was chosen to be the face and shoe construct inspiration of Under Armour’s new kick line, the Curry 2.5 and the Curry 3 (coming soon). Before Curry was signed with the epic sports brand, he had entered into a contract with Nike before his fame really hit people like his excessively accurate 3 pointers.
Brought on the Under Armour team in 2013, Curry has since made an impact on not only the sales of the company but the youth that looks up to him. According to the Baltimore Sun,”Footwear sales rose more than 60 percent to $264 million, due to the continuing popularity of Curry’s shoe line and more styles in running, the brand’s biggest footwear category.”
Salma Hayek: Avon
Before the beautiful Salma Hayek created her own brand Nuance, she was one of the temporary faces of Avon. Since 2004, Hayek has functioned a brand spokeswoman with many duties that exceeded photo shoots and promotional commercials.
Speaking against domestic violence for all women, Salma was requested to present at the Avon Awards held at the UN in 2013 and claimed that she wasn’t half as nervous to present at the American Academy Awards than she was at Avon. She has long since served on the board, worked hard to decrease domestic violence in all countries and was definitely supplied with a healthy dose of Avon products throughout her reign.
Michael Jordan: Hanes
From day one of his fame, Michael Jordan was a sought after celebrity when it came to endorsements and Hanes, being one of the athlete’s most successful and well-known endorsement products, will always scream the name Jordan long after he’s done.
The fact that the basketball legend has earned over $14 million from the Hanes endorsement alone is not as significant as the fact that he has been doing the ads for almost 30 years. The relatable, kind and gentle superstar embodies everything that Hanes looks for in an endorser, even off the court as he has been for some time. One thing is for sure, Michael Jordan will never run out of underwear as long as he lives.
Natalie Portman: Miss Dior
Every reason that the talented, incredibly beautiful actress Natalie Portman is still the Miss Dior fragrance ambassador is right here: “Natalie Portman is so dynamic, we’ve seen her grow as a childhood actor and truly define delicate edge through roles such as Black Swan. Like the core floral essence at hand, she has blossomed much like a rose as a Miss Dior, both intelligent and sexy,” as said by co-founder, CEO of Accessory2, Paul Frankas.
This astonishing woman has managed to maintain her place as Miss Dior since 2013 and we can only imagine how many gallons of the sweet-smelling perfume she has dosed herself with over the years; as we would too!
George Foreman: Foreman Grill
There is no better endorsement than one with your own name in it, right? So, the George Foreman Grill is probably the most well-known and popular celebrity endorsement of all time. Following his successful comeback against the titan Evander Holyfield, Foreman developed the idea for the healthy grill in ’95 under the Salton company name.
Paying the retired ringleader a hefty sum of $137.5 million, he has since been the sole ambassador for the product over the years. Now at 68 years old, Foreman still functions as the face of the grill and, if we may say so, looks incredible for his age. There is no doubt that this heavyweight champ will ever go hungry again with such a sustainable and beneficially successful brand and product.
Cara Delevingne: Puma
As the new face of the popular athletic label Puma, supermodel Cara Delevingne represents youth, fitness, an open mind, and a killer bod. Often signing on with big names like Rihanna, Usain Bolt, Kylie Jenner, Rickey Fowler and Meek Mill, Cara is the newest face to represent the brand during her epic and thorough workouts.
Using Cara’s strong face and voice for the #DoYou campaign, promoting female empowerment, it could not come at a better time for both the model and the world. But, we are insanely jealous of all of the incredible and free merchandise the model is going to, and probably already has gotten her tiny hands on!
Justin Bieber: Calvin Klein
Plenty of hot male bods have graced the signature, yet always evolving Calvin Klein brief line, but Bieber’s had to be the most discussed. The raw energy that these signature shoots brinshotsys blows the world away with effortless and youthful vitality and pure comfort, so Bieber was perfect for the ad at the time.
Just coming out of his “bad boy phase,” the Canadian talent was signed as Calvin’s 2015 product ambassador and aired his non-dirty laundry with model Lara Stone in the seductive and sensual TV and billboard promotions. So, we’re pretty sure that he is always rocking these white, tight-fitting drawers every chance he gets; I mean wouldn’t you with a body like that?
Keira Knightley: Chanel
Something about Keira screams Chanel because they just can’t seem to shake the natural beauty and grace of the actress for their ad campaigns. Signed on once again for Chanel’s Fine Jewelry 2016 ads, Knightley lit up our screens with old Hollywood class rocking both gold and silver-toned jewels from finger-to-finger while wrapped in a head-to-toe black ensemble.
Hinting at Knightley’s superheroine-like abilities both onscreen and off, in their 2011 CoCo Mademoiselle campaign, it is clear that Keira is set for life when it comes to Chanel. Beyond being what we can only imagine as a delight onset, Knightley exudes pure class with little-to-no effort and will face the brand head on for years to come.
Shaq: Gold Bond
No can resist Shaq’s signature Gold Bond shimmy, nor do they want to. As the face of several successful products including Gold Bond, Shaq is a firm believer in all he promotes.
In an interview with CNBC, he stated “All the deals that I’m involved with are companies that I’ve believed in and companies that I’ve used. I always tell people, if I haven’t used your product, I will never take your money.” Wanting to be the ambassador of “fun,” alongside an intelligent investor, Shaq is one of the most marketed athletes of all time but only works with the ones he feels truly work, like Gold Bond.
Misty Copeland: Under Armour
American sportswear giant Under Armour makes the list again. Their newest spokesmodel is from a background one might not immediately connect with sports: ballet! Under Armour recently signed groundbreaking ballerina Misty Copeland on, and the partnership resulted in an innovative line of “athleisure” products.
However, Copeland, who is the first African-American principal dancer with the American Ballet Theater, openly criticized the company when its CEO made pro-Trump comments. “In an Instagram post, she wrote “Those of you who have supported and followed my career know that the one topic I’ve never backed away from speaking openly about is the importance of diversity and inclusion. It is imperative to me that my partners and sponsors share this belief.”
Penelope Cruz: Nintendo
Some people might wonder why you’d spend premium advertising funds hiring one of the most beautiful women in the world, only to have her dress as a fictional video game plumber. But that’s exactly what Nintendo did when they tapped gorgeous actress Penelope Cruz for a recent publicity campaign.
Cruz’s equally stunning sister Monica also appears in the ad. The two women play the Mario Bros game on a Nintendo 3DS system and Monica wins. The deal they made was that the loser had to dress as Mario and go into public, and Penelope keeps her side of the deal. “It’s me, Mario!”
Ozzy Osbourne: I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter
This one might just take the cake (made with butter substitute, of course) for the strangest celebrity endorsement on our list. In 2006, iconic Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, known for once biting the head off a live bat, was tapped by I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter for an advertising campaign.
In the commercial, which originally aired in the UK, Ozzy appears in a kitchen and is blown away that he can’t tell the difference between the vegetable oil-based I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and the real stuff. This was one totally bizarre endorsement.
