George Clooney’s Gun-Control Donation Sparked Rumors He Wants To Be President

Following the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, George Clooney revealed on Twitter that he and his wife Amal, a human rights attorney, would be donating $500,000 to an upcoming gun-rights march. Many on the right saw this as an indication that the actor was thinking of a future presidential bid. Fox News host Sean Hannity, who is a Trump supporter, jokingly expressed his desire to see Clooney run. He told listeners of his radio show: “My attitude is, ‘Run, George, run. If George Clooney wants to run, I’m all for it.” However, several other stars also donated to the cause, including Justin Bieber (who’s Canadian and isn’t eligible to be a U.S. president).
