They Keep Going And Going…The Longest Lasting Celebrity Marriages

Remember those Energizer bunny commercials? The Energizer bunny was the little pink bunny on wheels that keeps beating the drum in between his arms. When all other devices he came across stopped, he just kept beating and rolling along and it seemed like his battery power lasted forever. These celebrities have been together for ages, and their relationships show that Hollywood is not always about breakups and scandals. These celebs serve as an example of wedded bliss and they have ties that truly bind.

Before actress Sarah Jessica Parker found wedded bliss with actor Matthew Broderick, she once dated Robert Downey Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., two very high profile people. Then one day Sarah Jessica Parker was introduced to her future soul mate Matthew Broderick by none other than Matthew Broderick’s brother.

The sparks began from that time forward and their relationship ended up in entertainment stories everywhere. Sarah Jessica Parker told the L.A. Times about their relationship. She said: “He’s [Broderick] probably the funniest fellow I’ve met in my entire life.” She went on to say: “I’m mad for him, totally.” Parker and Broderick got married in 1997, and they have three children together.

Most celebrity relationships start on a set. The typical filming set includes directors, lights, cameras, and acting. The original meeting between Tracy Pollan and Michael J. Fox occurred on the sitcom Family Ties where Michael J. Fox became a household name back in the “big” ’80s. Ironically, Tracy Pollan played Michael J. Fox’s girlfriend on the sitcom. They later linked up again in 1987 while filming the movie Bright Lights, Big City.

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan ended up getting married on July 16, 1988. Both Pollan and Fox revealed to Oprah Winfrey that their relationship took a while to get up and running. Pollan told Oprah, “It wasn’t that I wasn’t attracted to him [Fox]—I was just dating someone else.” Michael J. Fox went on to say: “And it wasn’t that I wasn’t attracted to her [Pollan]—the guy she was dating was just bigger than me.”
