Jennifer Lopez and Shakira Are The 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Performers

How many days until Super Bowl LIV? The countdown is on now that the halftime show performers have been announced and it features two massive Latina stars. It's a double feature with both Jennifer Lopez and Shakira on the bill.

The two singers made the announcement on their Twitter pages on September 26th. In the photos, they're both sporting Pepsi jewelry, the official sponsor of the halftime show.

"It doesn't get any bigger than this! So excited about getting on that #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime stage," Shakira's tweet read.

"I can't wait to show what us girls can do on the world's biggest stage," Lopez said in a statement.

Pepsi's VP of marketing, Todd Kaplan, confirmed the news in a statement.

"These two remarkable artists are setting a new precedent for what this show can become, and we're confident that this will be an incredible performance for the ages," Todd Kaplan.

The two singers will join the ranks of other female stars who have graced the halftime show stage including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Madonna.

The Super Bowl LIV is set to take place February 2nd in Miami Gardens, Florida.
