Most Amazing San Diego Food Festivals In 2017

Southern California has some of the best options for food from cultures all around the world. If you consider yourself to be a foodie, you know that SoCal also offers some amazing events just for food. The options are seemingly endless from family fun, to innovative and delicious cuisines, or even some local specialty brews. Quite often these events offer a combo package of both mouthwatering deliciousness and refreshing beverages. So if you’re a local or even just in town to visit check out this selection (organized by month) of amazing food events in the SoCal area! Dig in!

The month of April has several foodie events that might strike your fancy! On Saturday, April 15th, visit the neighborhood Hillcrest for a foodie event of the same name, Taste of Hillcrest. At this event, you can check out what the neighborhood specializes in which is a wide variety of ethnic eateries. The area as over thirty different restaurants – try everything from Mexican food to Middle Eastern eats.

In another April event, with the date to be announced, check out the Bikes Boards and Brews event that takes place right along Mission Bay. Take in the beautiful views and pursue the booths set up along the water to satisfy your hunger. There will also be ten beer tastings.

In the month of May, gear up for another restaurant walk called the Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk. This annual event has yet to have the date announced. This neighborhood hosts the restaurant walk at sunset, and usually, over thirty restaurants participate. You are sure to find something to your desire along the way.

On June 14th check out one of the most delectable choices yet – The Taste of Little Italy! San Diego has a massive amount of Italian based eateries within a 48-block radius. The event has provided routes so you can make sure to visit the most places possible.

Another even that is an absolute must in June, is the Taste of Gaslamp. The Gaslamp is located in historic downtown San Diego, and the Gaslamp Tour is the original foodie tour starting over twenty years ago! For this one, there will be over forty restaurants as well as multiple beer and wine samples. You can wash all of this down while taking in some live music or visiting a local nightclub!

In the month of September, there is a whole week dedicated to your foodie heart’s desire. From the 24th of September to October 1st, check out San Diego Restaurant Week. Tons of restaurants across the entire city participate and offer specials menus and prices. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit a high-end restaurant that might not always be so affordable.

In October, stop by the Taste of Coronado, which takes place on the beautiful Island of Coronado right across from San Diego. There are over thirty restaurants to sample a variety of interesting flavors while embarking on walking tour. Of course, you can finish at the gorgeous beach and take in the sights.
