The World’s Most Eligible Royals & The Salacious Relationships Of Princes And Princesses

Just because you're a member of a royal family it doesn't mean life is all caviar and lavish castle living. Many members of royal families have been called out for their salacious relationships, lavish parties, and general troublemaking. Even after getting engaged or married, many royals face cheating scandals, stories of illegitimate children, and other controversies.

Stéphanie and Daniel divorced in 1996. Two years later, the princess gave birth to a third child, Camille Marie Kelly Gottlieb. The baby's father was not listed on the birth certificate. It's assumed her father is Jean Raymond Gottlieb, who was also one of Stephanie's bodyguards. Jean was head of security but resigned his position when he and Stephanie became lovers. Since they never married, Camille is not included in the line of succession.

The princess was unable to make the relationship work with her second bodyguard boyfriend. In 2001, with three young children in tow, she ran off with not one, but two men in the circus.

In 2012, Mette-Marit made headlines after traveling to India to take care of newborn surrogate twins for a gay couple. Visa problems prevented the princess' friends (the infants' two fathers) from arriving at the hospital in time for the birth. Surrogacy is illegal in Norway; however, citizens are allowed to find surrogates in other countries and bring the children back home to Norway.

Mette-Marit's actions were debated by the country's citizens, with some supporting her and others disagreeing with her actions. She later said she traveled to India for personal reasons and the trip "was not intended to be a contribution to this debate."

The couple met in 2000, started dating in 2006 and got engaged in 2010. The week prior to their summer 2011 wedding, rumors circulated that Charlene got cold feet and nearly left the prince waiting at the altar.

A French publication claimed that Charlene tried to leave the country because she discovered that he had fathered a third illegitimate child. Police allegedly stopped her at the airport and confiscated her passport. It was reported that she needed "intense convincing" by her fiance and palace officials to stay. Officials denied the "ugly rumors." The couple went on to have two children: Princess Gabriella and Hereditary Prince Jacques.

Sarah Ferguson might have the strangest story on our list. In 1992, cameras caught Ferguson, Duchess of York, with her toes in the mouth of John Bryan, a Texas businessman. She had previously announced her separation from Prince Andrew, but the situation brought the family a lot of unwanted attention.

In 2010 she came under fire again after offering undercover report access to her former prince for a sum of £500,000. In all fairness to the Duchess, it might have been Bryan's foot fetish.

Sarah Ferguson wasn't the only one in her relationship to have a strange sex scandal. Prince Andrew was accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl. The underage scandal didn't end there. A woman claimed that she was being abused by billionaire investor Jeffrey Epstein from 1999 to 2002.

She claimed that Epstein, a friend of the prince, ordered her to have relations with the royal family member. Immediately following that claim the palace said no such improper activity had occurred. It should be noted that Epstein is a convicted sex offender.

Prince Philippos was born to King Constantine II of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie in 1986, yet is a prince in title only. As it turns out, the Greek monarchy was abolished and his father King Constantine II was deposed in 1973. Because of this, he has no claim to really anything since there is no longer a monarchy.

Possibly because of this reason, he is extremely shy and tries to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. However, you would still think that some women would be attracted to him as well as his title as prince.
