These Parents Definitely Made Their Kids Jealous When They Snapped These Selfies With Celebrities

Celebrities are used to seeing hoards of fans waiting for them outside hotels, concerts, and movie sets. These younger, die-hard fans spend hours waiting to meet a celebrity and rarely end up with a glimpse. But most celebrity encounters happen to the average joe in everyday life, and that average joe is almost always a clueless parent.

It just doesn't seem fair that mom and dad are the ones who saw Zac Efron on a plane or Mark Wahlberg on the street. These parents might have met a celebrity, but you know they'll have more fun bragging about it to their kids.

This mom was seated next to legendary Food Network host Guy Fieri on a flight, and her daughter freaked out. Her daughter Sydney is known on Twitter for loving Fieri and tweeting at him regularly. Sydney even has a necklace with Fieri's face on it.

Her mom was kind enough to let Fieri know that her daughter is obsessed, and Fieri promised to have his son show him her tweets.

I'm Surprised He Didn't Make A Dad Joke About Cardi A

This dad decided to snap a picture with Cardi B on the street and missed his opportunity to make an excellent dad joke. He obviously knew her name was Cardi B if he texted that, so he missed the opportunity to ask his daughter who Cardi A is.

I'm just saying that if you're going to take the ultimate dad selfie, then go with an ultimate dad joke.

I understand that Post Malone is a popular rapper right now, but anyone who thinks he doesn't look extremely creepy is lying. If I got this Snapchat with no context, I wouldn't even realize it was a famous person. I'd be creeped out that a man with bangs has my number.

If the dad who sent this is Spanish, then "Zendajaja" isn't that far off from her actual name. It's kind of like her spelling her name Zendayaya.

Either way, it looks like they didn't even meet Zendaya because they're taking the photo from afar.

Some of the other parents who meet celebrities at least have a general idea of who the person is. This woman clearly had no clue who Camila Cabello was and only understood that the person with a bodyguard is probably famous.

That's exactly how people get tricked when regular humans walk around with a fake bodyguard.

I like that this dad working at a car dealership didn't want to bother Fetty Wap until he did some hardcore investigation. He definitely didn't believe Fetty would buy a car, but then he bought three Audis, and the entire mood changed.

I understand that not everyone listens to many DJ Khaled songs. Unless you follow his ridiculous antics on social media, you probably can't name one of his songs or albums.

But he does appear on a lot of other artist's songs by just yelling his name. So everyone should know it.

This woman knows she's not worthy to have Beyoncé grace her presence in a random hotel hallway. It doesn't matter how young or old you are, you know Bey when you see her. People of every age are jealous of this woman's chance encounter.

Oh, and Jay-Z is there too. Cool.

The show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition came to remodel a house right beside a middle school, and Xzibit was along for the ride. He needed to use the bathroom, so he knocked on the school's doors.

After he finished, he asked to take a picture for fun, and it happened to be picture day. This teacher thought he was just a random member of the construction crew the entire time.

I want to know the story behind why Nic Cage looks crazier here than in any of his movies. Either he's had way too many airplane-sized rum and cokes, or he's on a different type of coke. This woman probably drugged him to get him to agree to take a photo.

These parents are obviously very excited about meeting Shaq because he's definitely from their time (no offense, Shaq). But the real question is how tall are these parents?

The dad looks maybe only an inch or two shorter than Shaq, and mom is only a foot shorter. If Shaq is 7'1", then she must be at least six feet tall.

Most of the parents who encounter rappers have absolutely no idea who they are, but Kanye West might be one of the most well-known rappers of any generation.

I'm not sure if it's because of his music, his controversy, or his marriage to a Kardashian, but even my grandma knows about Kanye.

It's easy to stumble into a celebrity sighting when you're flying overnight first class. These parents are living their best life, and they didn't even notice or care that Zac Efron is sleeping in the background.

Their teenage daughter at home is probably so mad that they didn't take the time to look for celebrities on their first-class flight.

Once again, for the parents of the world, any African American singer or rapper is automatically Kanye West. Even when they're the legendary Andre 3000, they'll still always be Kanye.

Andre seemed pretty humble about it though and took the time to take a photo with a very excited supermarket cashier.

Mark Wahlberg has been pretty candid about the fact that people often mistake him for Matt Damon, so he's used to it. That's probably why he didn't mind too much when this mom cluelessly took a photo with him.

A lot of times people will mistake lesser-known celebrities for ultra-famous ones, but this mom did the exact opposite. She thought that the man, the myth, the legend that is Will Smith was rapper Tyler, The Creator.

She told him that she liked his Odd Future stuff and Smith was still kind enough to take this photo.

I can't decide what's worse: mistaking an actual celebrity for a different celebrity or mistaking an average person for one. I honestly think that the second one is way better to do because it's probably flattering for the average Joe.

Mistaking Will Smith for Tyler, The Creator is probably a major shot at his ego and extra embarrassing for you.

I genuinely wonder if these people know that they look like a celebrity and do their best to play the part when someone approaches them. If I looked like DJ Khaled, I'd walk around shouting my name all day long.
