Since their foster dog gave birth to all of the puppies they were able to find new homes, thankfully. But that doesn’t mean they are now dogless; their original dogs still remain with them. This dog loving couple films their reality show and share their own life including how to have a household with so many dogs and other sad scenes like what kind of heartbreak they have had to face while rescuing dogs. They also include funny day to day drama, like which doggie managed to break their expensive vacuum cleaner! Chris and Mariesa are certainly dedicated to their dogs!

The couple also introduces their entire brood in the show which includes their dogs Gremlin, Meatball, Money, The Stig, Moses, Tejas, Quinn, and Sammy. The couple has shared that one thing that bonds them together is that are both major dog lovers. It was actually Chris who had the most dogs when the two first met. The first dog that was adopted was Gremlin. The couple rescued Gremlin from Odessa Rescue and Rehabilitation. Gremlin had been used in a fighting ring in Baltimore. Chris told Dogster, “It was just one of those situations where you met her (Gremlin) and the personality was just so overwhelming and she loved everybody even after everything she’s been through.” The poor dog had both of her back legs broken when she was first rescued but luckily hasn’t faced any behavior problems from her bad beginning.

Wild about Rescuing

Sammy was the next dog who was adopted after Gremlin. He was stuck in the basement of a foreclosed house. Next was Quinn who was in a hoarder situation with over fifty other dogs. And then came Stig, who came from the pound in Cleveland. He was going to be euthanized the day he was adopted by Chris. After that, the couple continued on to get Meatball, Money, Moses, and Tejas. When Chris first met Mariesa he already had six dogs! Meanwhile, Mariesa had the two greyhounds who were both retired from a life of racing. However, she also had experience in fostering dogs for quite a while.

Devoted for Life

Eventually, they had to let go of the puppies that their foster dog had given birth to, and find them homes. Even though Mariesa knew they were going to good homes she still wanted to keep one. She says that they have to reel each other back in from getting more dogs. Mariesa told Dogster, “Sometimes I’m the voice of reason for him and sometimes he’s the voice of reason for me, but we know right now that we have a really balanced pack of dogs and we don’t want to offset that negatively.” She also knows that this way they will be able to actually help rescue more dogs in the long run. What an amazing couple!
