In 2008, emerging superstar Rihanna released her smash hit single "Umbrella" and instantly became a sensation. Eleven years later and she's officially become the wealthiest woman in music. That's an elite accomplishment for the Bajan singer. Robyn Rihanna Fenty may be a great artist, but that isn't the only way she grew such a massive net worth.

Many might suspect that another artist, like Madonna or Beyoncé, would hold this title, but Rihanna beat both of them -- especially the latter -- by a healthy amount. She's now worth $600 million, which is $30 million more than Madonna and $200 million above Bey. These numbers are staggering, so we want to know how she accomplished this! It couldn't have been strictly from music.

The "Umbrella" songstress not only has a makeup line called Fenty Beauty (launched 2017), lingerie label called Savage X Fenty (2018), but she also has a new entrepreneurial endeavor in her fashion label, Fenty. Rihanna started a partnership with the French luxury goods company LVMH, becoming the first black woman to have created an original brand with the business.

One feature about her cosmetics brand that people rave about is how inclusive it is. This inclusivity helped her a ton when she first released Fenty Beauty, as it was an excellent marketing point. The singer also feels very positive about women, which is definitely going to help with her newest fashion venture. In a statement from April 2019, Rihanna said: "Women are forces of this earth. We are multifaceted, complex, vulnerable yet bulletproof, and Fenty speaks to all of our intricacies."

If Rihanna's luxury brand is a hit like many of her other products are, the star might be crossing $1 billion before we know it.
