Bam was a park rat long before he became a skateboarder. Once he started to hang out and skate with Mike Maldonado, things changed for Margera.

He took it upon himself to start hitting up the streets to show off his skateboard talent. Margera eventually got signed in 1998 by Toy Machine Skateboards.
