Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were an item for 12 long years. They met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Pitt’s alleged affair with Jolie had the public in a frenzy, choosing sides, and taking names.

In 2005, the same year Pitt and Aniston divorced, Pitt accompanied Jolie to Kenya and to Ethiopia, where she adopted her daughter Zahara. Jolie and Pitt were pregnant in 2006 and Pitt legally adopted Jolie’s other children. In 2014 they were officially married, but Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.
