Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore started dating in 2008. In a 2007 People magazine interview, Moore mentions that she felt inspired by Adams’ music. They got married in 2009 and they worked on music together for years.

Although they announced their split in 2015, they had reportedly been living separate lives for a long time before then. Moore is now engaged to Taylor Goldsmith. In 2017, Adams took to Twitter to congratulate Moore on her new show, This Is Us, responding to her tweet, “You with us?” with, “Always! Rooting for you.” We’re not sure what’s more heartbreaking, that tweet or the last season of This Is Us.
