The former Genesis star Phil Collins wasn’t always there for his daughter Lily Collins, who ended up becoming a successful actress. Lily wrote a letter to her father in her book, saying she has accepted the “sadness and anger” she once felt toward him. Lily grew up in the United States, far away from her father.

She says the pain and confusing surrounding her dad’s divorce from his third wife, Orianne Cevey, contributed to her struggle with anorexia. “I forgive the mistakes you made,” she writes, “And although it may seem like it’s too late, it’s not. There’s still so much time to move forward.”
