Robin Williams’ stand-up comedy routines were like no one else. He created different characters for which he would pour himself into. Once on stage, Williams was wild, loud, and full of energy. Emily Herbert, who wrote his biography described Williams’ performances as: “intense, utterly manic style of stand-up… beyond energetic, beyond frenetic.”

Adrian Nicole LeBlance of The New Yorker noted, “He tore through characters. His verbal riffs looped around the circus of his stunning physicality. He sweated. During his 2002 comedy special, ‘Live on Broadway,’ he drank ten bottles of water; most comics drink one.”
