On September 13, 1996, Tupac Shakur lost his life in the intensive-care unit due to internal bleeding after being shot. In the years leading up to his passing, he built quite the reputation and career for himself. Negative headlines might've shrouded his tenure on this Earth, but he provided us with plenty of bright spots.

Shakur had a loud personality, but at his core, he was still the same boy raised by mother Afeni Shakur. Over the course of his life, he managed to get involved in some interesting relationships that you might not have expected. Before there was Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, there was Tupac and Jada. The actress recently admitted she still thinks about him every day.

Then, in the early '90s, he had a brief fling with superstar Madonna. That connection was something the public wasn't too aware of until Madonna had an interview with Howard Stern in 2015. "That's shocking to me," Stern told Madonna. "That's never been out there, I don't think."

Now, a piece of their history is going up at auction with bids starting at $100,000. The item to be sold will be a letter Shakur wrote for the singer while in prison, a year before his death.

In the letter, he wrote about the racial tension that surrounded the two, and how he felt he would be "letting down" people who believed in him for being with a Caucasian woman. The rapper ends the letter with a raw request. "I don't know how you feel about visiting me. But if you could find it in your heart I would love to speak face-to-face with you," he wrote. "It's funny, but this experience has taught me not to take time for granted."

How high do you think people are going to bid on this letter?
