Noor Al-Hussein of Jordan

American born, but still, she is the Queen of Jordan. King Hussein’s death left her a widow as she was his fourth wife. She does peace-building work that focuses on the Balkans, the Middle East, Latin America, and several other places. She advocates for cross-cultural understanding and recovery issues like refugees, poverty and missing persons. She has a long list of work that she is involved in and is very active as the Queen.

She attended Princeton University under their first coeducational program and received a degree in architecture and urban planning. She was also a member of the school’s first women’s ice hockey team.
