Josh Charles – The Good Wife

Josh Charles was killed off in the middle of the fifth season of the series The Good Wife. Shot by a client, the choice to end him was made a year prior even though fans were highly upset. It was Charles idea for this happen so he could get away and go pursue other goals.

“I had a very short-term deal,” Charles told Deadline. “It was renewed a couple of times over, and at the end of the fourth year my contract was up, and I chose not to renew. It was just a creative decision for me wanting to go and explore new stuff—in my life, in my career.”
