Once, Twice, Three Times Arrested

Nicole Richie is one of the first “reality socialites,” who got famous just for being famous a la the Kardashians. She is also the daughter of Lionel Richie who was quite famous in heyday of the 1980s.

She may have turned being rich and famous into a lifestyle, but it wasn’t exactly the kind of lifestyle that anyone should be living and resulted in the young celeb getting into more than a little bit of trouble. In 2002, Nicole was arrested following a brawl in a New York City nightclub. In 2003, she was arrested for driving with a license and possession of heroin.

Nicole Richie Turns Herself Around

After the first two incidents, Nicole Richie checked into a rehabilitation center, but her rehabilitation was short lived. A few years later, in 2006, Richie was arrested for driving under the influence; she admitted to using marijuana and Vicodin.

In 2007, she was sentenced to four days in jail but only served about 82 minutes of the sentence. This seemed to have been the last straw for her and Nicole seemed determined after this to truly turn her life around. Since then, she has stayed out of trouble and started a family of her own; surely her father couldn’t be happier.
