It seems that drug addiction is a common battle for not just celebrities but also their children. One of actor Michael Douglas’ sons, Cameron Douglas, has had a seemingly long struggle with drug addiction. Cameron Douglas not only battled substance abuse but he also ended up being arrested multiple times for drug related offenses.

Ultimately, he was charged with intent to distribute after he was found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine which was seized by the authorities. Cameron Douglas’ problems with drugs ended up making headlines after his girlfriend got involved. She reportedly put heroin into an electric toothbrush, cleverly concealing the drug and delivering it to Cameron while he was under house arrest.

They got caught and Cameron was in even bigger trouble for attempting to do drugs while under house arrest. He ultimately had to serve several years in prison for his drug related problems. Cameron’s father Michael Douglas, felt guilty for the entire incident and his son’s ordeal. The actor publicly assumed blame by stating that this happened because of him “being a bad father.”
