Honestly, with Detective Pikachu being voiced by Ryan Reynolds, the movie is sure to be equal parts of mystery and comedy. If you’re familiar with the 2016 video game of the same name, the film’s plot loosely follows the games. You’re not going to want to miss this movie!

The comedy series follows awkward computer programmer Richard and his friends as they attempt to create something Earth-shattering during the high-tech gold rush.
The only issue is, when he creates a ridiculous search algorithm at his day job, Richard is stuck between a bidding war. The question is, will he sell the code to dot-com millionaire Erlich who lets him stay at his house rent-free or a deep-pocketed venture capitalist?
I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter
If you’re not familiar with the true-crime case against Michelle Carter, then buckle on in, friend, because you’re in for one crazy ride. I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter follows Carter as she convinces her boyfriend, Conrad Roy, to commit suicide over a series of text messages. The story of the teenage romance between the two quickly becomes unbelievable.

If you’re into dark comedies, the television series Six Feet Under should be put on your “just watch” list as soon as possible. The series follows the family through the trials and tribulations of running a family-owned business.
The show had constantly high ratings, no doubt, due to the spectacular writing and acting skills of the all-star cast. And while we’re on the topic of the cast, Michael C. Hall, Peter Krause, Frances Conroy, Rachel Griffiths, Lauren Ambrose, Mathew St. Patrick, and Freddy Rodriguez, star. So, that should be reason enough to check the show out while it’s free on HBO.
My Dog Skip
If you’re in the market for a family-friendly movie, look no further than My Dog Skip. Set in Mississippi during the 40s with a World War II backdrop, the film follows the story of Willie, who watches his only friend go off to war. Now, the shy kid is alone with his disabled, recluse father and mother. But everything changes when his parents decide to adopt a dog.
Skip teaches Willie about friendship and life, becoming his best friend in the process. Trust us when we say you’re going to want a large box of tissues next to you when you watch this film.
Emmy Award-winner Bill Hader plays low-level hit man Barry Berkman in the comedic television series Barry. Out on another hit, Berkman finds himself in Los Angeles following an actor into an acting workshop. Wanting out of the game, Berkman is drawn into the energy of all of the hopeful actors hoping to make it in the City of Angels.
But getting out from under his handler, Fuches, isn’t as easy as he thought. And it seems as though the hitman’s criminal past isn’t going to disappear and let him become an actor. If you need some good laughs in your life, this is the show you’ve been waiting for.
Ever wonder how Peter Pan originally made his way to Neverland, ultimately becoming “the Pan?” Well, to answer that question, you’re going to have to watch the action-adventure Pan. The story follows 12-year-old Peter as he is kidnapped from his orphanage in London and whisked away to the fantastical land that’s on the second star to the right and straight on till morning.
Ironically, when he’s there, he has to band together with a young James Hook and Tiger Lily to save Neverland from the evil clutches of Blackbeard. Along the way, Peter finds out just who he is meant to be in the grand scheme of things.
Calling all vampire fans, the hit series True Blood is going to be available to stream for free on HBO! If you’re not familiar with the series, it follows the story of Sookie Stackhouse as she gets wrapped up in a war between humanity and vampires, vampires and werewolves, vampires and witches, vampires and fairies, and probably any other combination of supernatural beings you can think of.
Thankfully, she has a lot of people in her corner, particularly Bill Compton and Eric Northman. Trust us when we say you’re going to want to take a bite out of this television series while it’s available for free streaming.
Crazy, Stupid, Love
If you’re a fan of Steve Carell, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, and Ryan Gosling’s abs, then you’re going to want to watch Crazy, Stupid, Love when it comes out from behind HBO’s paywall. The story follows Carl Weaver, a man who is thrown a curveball in life when his wife tells him she wants a divorce. Enter Jacob Palmer, a suave man who makes it his mission to get Carl back in the dating game.
Of course, hilarity ensues, and Jacob ends up falling for someone unexpected. That, on top of teenage crushes and Kevin Bacon, this movie is a must-see, especially if you feel like laughing until you cry.
The Case Against Adnan Syed
If you were one of the people who were addicted to the podcast Serial and the case of Adnan Syed, then you’re not going to want to miss this docu-series. The four-part series does another deep-dive into the case, but this time, new eyes are going to take a look at the murder of high school student Hae Min Lee.
This is one docu-series that you’re not going to want to miss, as key witnesses, like Asia McClain, are stepping forward to give a bit of insight on what happened all those years ago. The Case Against Adnan Syed is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Happy Feet Two
Now, this next film is sure to be a crowd-pleaser among the younger crowd. Happy Feet Two brings us back to the arctic with Mumble, the Master of Tap. Only, this time, he has someone else he has to prove his worth to, his son, Erik. Erik wants nothing to do with dance, much tp Mumbles dismay.
So, when he runs away and meets Svan, a penguin who can fly, Mumble is a bit hurt, wanting to be the role model his son could look up to. But when strange forces have Mumble banning together all of the creatures, Erik finally sees his father’s true colors.
Blinded By The Light
Middle-class Pakistani teenager Javed faces economic and racial struggles while living in Luton, England, during the 80s. The only thing that helps him escape his day-to-day struggles is writing poetry. Then, a classmate introduces Javed to Bruce Springsteen, aka The Boss. Soon, Javed sees comparisons between Springsteen’s intense lyrics and his working-class way of life.
Throughout Blinded by the Light, audience members see as Javed transforms from a timid teenager into someone who wants nothing more than to find his voice and follow his dreams. And if that means wearing jeans, chucks, a white t-shirt over a cut-off plaid shirt, and, of course, a jean jacket, more power to him!

The docu-series follows the Monopoly scam led by Jerome Jacobson, a security officer for the agency that ran the game that occurred between 1989 and 2001.

Arthur is a remake of the Oscar-winning film from 1981. The movie follows the story of Arthur Bach, an extremely wealthy man who also happens to be entirely too irresponsible for anyone’s well being. And, aside from his money, only one person can keep the playboy out of trouble, his longtime Nanny.

The animated film Smallfoot follows the story of Migo, a friendly yeti who discovers a mysterious creature: a human. Unfortunately, no one in his tribe of yeti’s believes him. And Migo is soon thrown out of his home. Determined to clear his name, Migo ventures into the wild to try and find the human creature he came in contact with.
