By the end of its second season, MadTv experienced its first big cast turnover. Casting executives saw the departure of Orlando Jones, Bran Callen, and Artie Lange. They would soon be replaced by Alex Borstein, Aries Spears, and Canadian Will Sasso.

Sasso was known for playing quirky characters during his five-year tenure, such as the accident-prone handyman Paul Timberman. He was also a master of celebrity impersonations, including James Gandolfini from The Sopranos, Kenny Rogers, Steven Seagal, and George Lucas.

One cast member, who found himself on The Mindy Project, actually got his big break on this show.
