One of Simon Helberg’s earliest jobs in television was joining the cast of MadTV in 2002. His tenure on the show was short-lived as Helberg only appeared on one season, but that didn’t stop the future Big Bang Theory star to continue putting his foot through the door.

He had a minor role in Old School, A Cinderella Story, and he had a small part on Arrested Development. It wasn’t until 2007 when Helberg finally got his big break. He was cast as Howard Wolowitz, the engineer who lacks a doctoral degree on The Big Bang Theory.

Not only was Wolowitz on the show, but so was the voice of Lois Griffin.
