Contrary to popular rumor, the tiny Stonehenge fiasco in the film is not a parody of Black Sabbath’s oversized Stonehenge sets from their Born Again tour. The Stonehenge scene was in the original 20-minute demo which was shot in 1982. Black Sabbath didn’t start using their Stonehenge set until 1983.

The Stonehenge scene was likely inspired by Led Zepplin’s final U.S. tour. The stage was framed by a large, Stonehenge-like monolith and additional models, large and small, were positioned around the band. These concerts became infamous because several members of Led Zeppelin’s entourage beat up a local crew member backstage.
