The 2nd annual TV Land Awards in 2004 was one of Don Knotts’ last award appearances. It was also one of Knotts and Andy Griffith’s last appearances together. Knotts took the TV Land Legend Award that year. Why? Because he is a legend, duh.

The next year he was nominated for Favorite Nosy Neighbor for his character, Ralph Furley on “Three’s Company”.Unfortunately, he lost to Sandra Gould of “Bewitched”. Unlike Don Knotts, Sandra Gould has not won five Primetime Emmy awards for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Comedy.
