Shocking Facts About Don Knotts
More Televised Success
After Stanley Roper (Norman Fell) and Helen Roper (Audra Lindley) left “Three’s Company” to begin their own show, Don Knotts became part of ‘the company’ as the roommates’ new landlord Ralph Furley. On the 1977 television series about three roommates, Knotts utilizes his usual big-eyed and colorful personality to portray his character on the show — comparable to his well-known character Barney Fife.

Mr. Furley is socially awkward and highly animated. He thinks of himself as a “ladies man” even though he is the complete opposite. Yet, he is very likable and endearing. “Three’s Company” aired for eight seasons on ABC.
