Spider-Man: Far From Home finally hit theaters on July 2, 2019, and fans are loving it. Your friendly neighborhood hero finds himself in a quarrel with Jack Gylenhall's Mysterio, and things get psychedelic. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gylenhall come together in what is a light-hearted but courageous superhero movie that brings closure after what happened in Avengers: End Game.

The film ended up setting the record for biggest domestic Tuesday of all time with $39.3 million. The previous record holder was The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger, which brought in $35 million on July 3, 2012.

Far From Home easily became the box office winner over the Fourth of July weekend, collecting $93.6 million in America and Canada. That number was close to beating a 4th of July record as well. 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon made $97.9 million on the 4th of July. Keep in mind that since Far From Home released on a Tuesday, the weekend numbers are skewed.

This Spider-Man feature picked up a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and an A rating on Cinema Score. If you can get past the adolescent jokes and romances, Far From Home is a perfect movie to enjoy with friends, family, or even a significant other. You'll also want to make sure you're webbed to your seat for the shocking post-credit scene.
