‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Is Finally On Its Way

The ending of Stranger Things season 3 left us with so many questions. Is Hopper alive? Is Billy really dead? What is happening in Russia? Thankfully, Netflix and the Duffer Brothers announced on September 30th that the show is returning for season 4 to give us some answers.

Netflix has signed the Duffer Brothers on "to a multi-year film and series overall deal."

"The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we're thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love," Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement. "We can't wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down."

The streaming service released a teaser video with the announcement which doesn't give us much. The main takeaway is that season four is coming and that "we're not in Hawkins anymore." This is believed to be a reference to the end of the last season, which concluded with a scene taking place in Kamchatka, Russia.

The show brought in massive numbers when season 3 was released on July 4th this past summer. It drew record viewership figures during the first four days of its release, with over 26 million unique views in the U.S. alone.

Unfortunately, no release date has been set for season four yet. That just means there's plenty of time to get excited and theorize about what could possibly have happened to Hopper and the rest of the Stranger Things gang as they leave Hawkins.
