His Son Steve Would Sub In For Him Sometimes

Two of Ross’s sons, Steven and Morgan, went on to become accomplished painters themselves. Steven would actually sub in for Ross occasionally on the show and one special episode included Steven asking Ross general how-to questions. Steven would go on to become a Ross-certified painter and would teach the wet-on-wet technique around the world.

After Ross died in 1995, it seems like Steven fell off the map. Some have speculated that he’s living off the grid, and some reports said he turned into a software developer. Either way, we hope he’s still enjoying painting!
