When Ross first got into painting, he was a little worried about whether or not he could survive off a new artist’s paycheck. He was so worried that when he left on the road to take over Bill Alexander’s art classes, he promised his wife that if he couldn’t survive on the paycheck after 1 year, then he’d come home and try something new.
According to some sources, he began trying to supplement his small paycheck by painting landscape scenes on pans and selling them. He would sell them for $25 at the time, but now they go for about $7,500 on eBay.
