The obsession with Bob Ross doesn’t stop at artists. In 2014, some statisticians at FiveThirtyEight decided to do the math on whether or not Ross really does love happy little trees. The answer? Bob Ross loved happy little trees. In fact, at least one tree appeared in 91% of his paintings.

As for the rest of his paintings, 45% included clouds, 39% had mountains, and 34% have mountain lakes. That’s a lot of trees, clouds, mountains, and lakes when you consider that Ross himself estimated he completed about 30,000 paintings in his lifetime.
