He Hated His Iconic Fro

The fans may have loved it but Ross hated his big, curly hair. Most artists know this already, but the profession doesn’t exactly pay very well. During his time on the road teaching, Ross couldn’t afford to keep up his usual crew-cut. In order to save time and money, he opted to grow out his hair and get infrequent perms.

After he began on The Joy Of Painting he was going to go back to the crew cut, but his line of art supplies came out with his fro on the logo, so he was forced to keep it.
