The Gilligan’s Island Pilot Was Quite Different from the Actual Series

A TV pilot is always a test to show network executives what your show has to offer. It’s not uncommon for a pilot to totally change when it gets put into real episodes. Gilligan’s Island changed a lot from the pilot episode to the actual series. The original cast of characters included two secretaries and a high school teacher. It also had a completely different theme song.

In 1992 the pilot episode was finally aired and people got to see how the show originally was cast. Nothing can beat the magic of the original series.
