Wallace Snead Is Born
While in high school and college, Bill had written essays and funny stories and done cartoons about a character he’d named Wallace Snead. He said, “Obviously it was me doing biographical stuff but not putting my own name on it. So, Wallace Snead. I thought that was a funny name.”
In his biography, Bill says that he only made $25 per show when he was first starting out, so he had to take a second job as a bouncer and bartender. Bill, now established as Wallace, would do his one-man show for a just over a year. Soon though, as Bill himself put it, “the one-man shtick ran out real fast.” Enter Ladmo.
