Presidential Holiday Parties Throughout History
A White House Original

Do you remember the Bush’s black pup, Barney? Well, even the White House dog celebrated the holidays. The Bush family enjoyed making short White House original movies with their beloved Scottish Terrier Barney as the star. In 2008, the movie’s title was A Red, White, and Blue Christmas.
The video was labeled as a comedy and it follows Barney on his journey to become a junior park ranger. He has to first take on the challenge of decorating the White House for Christmas. The whole thing was bizarre but we are assuming that some people liked it.
Dinner of Champions

Evidently, 2006 was a year to remember, as far as dinners go, that is. The menu was lavish and included shrimp and cheese displays, stuffed turkey breasts, a cured Virginia ham, beef tenderloin, and lollipop lamb chops in addition to a variety of sides from soufflés to tamales. Yikes!
But, that’s not all! For dessert, you could choose from a huge tree made of pecan candies, a red hat box cake, a white pound cake wrapped in red marzipan frosting and tied with a red ribbon, and a chocolate Yule log with meringue mushrooms and white chocolate magnolia leaves, just to name a few.
