In the 1990s, Bill Goldberg was one of the most popular WWE wrestlers. The title awarded him a lot of prize money, of which he used to purchase a sprawling mansion tucked away in Bonsall, California.
The gorgeous property boasts a single-level Mediterranean-style mansion, four bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen, a family room as well as a sitting room, a dining room, and an office. And that’s just the house! Keep scrolling to get an inside look at Goldberg’s mansion and its amenities.
The Mansion Sits On A Private Compound
World Wrestling champion Bill Goldberg’s estate is located in Bonsall, California, and totals 4,630 square feet. The former NFL player and wrestler purchased the mansion in 1999 for one million, but that didn’t include the land that is now associated with the property.
Today, the mansion sits on a whopping 28 acres of private land. Lucky for Goldberg, the 2017 Lilac Fire that burnt 4,100 acres of land did not reach his magnificent estate that’s tucked into the hillside.
The Mediterranean and Spanish-style home was built in 1997 with stucco and a clay roof. And you can’t complain about the year-round Mediterranean climate Bonsall has, making the surrounding land the perfect place to relax and get away from the busy city.
The exterior of the house also features a two-car attached garage. An ironic feature considering the custom garage Goldberg designed a few years after purchasing the house. But more on that extravagant building later!
The Koi Pond And Potential Vineyard
The property also houses a koi pond and connecting creek that winds through the entire land’s vegetation. Since the climate is pretty much perfect year-round, the koi fish are most likely happy to be living on Goldberg’s property.
According to the real estate listing with Hunter and Maddox, whoever decides to buy this property can also think about starting a vineyard. Honestly, there is a lot to be said about that moderate Mediterranean climate and lots of land!
The Living Room
The gorgeous living room boasts one of the three fireplaces that are scattered throughout the house. And with windows that offer a beautiful view of the surrounding nature, it’s the perfect place to unwind for the day.
Honestly, this room is the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and watch a long movie with the surround sound on full blast. We wouldn’t be surprised if Goldberg watched reruns of his wrestling days on the pristine white sofa!
The Dining Room
The dining room sits right off of the “small” living room and houses a long wooden table that looks like it can seat ten people comfortably. Right in front of the massive windows is the perfect spot to enjoy a hot meal and watch an infamous California sunset.
We suspect Goldberg didn’t choose the room’s location for the world-class sunset, though. If we had to guess it’s because the chair closest to the window is at the perfect angle to view the TV!
The Sitting Room
Who needs a sitting room or a living room when you have the money to buy furniture for both! It seems as though Goldberg decided he needed a more laid back living room, aka, a sitting room that could fit more people.
The best part of this room isn’t the super comfortable-looking sectional couch, but the picture of the goat on the left wall! Fun fact: Goldberg’s family adopted a goat in 2014 and named him Goatberg.
Saying we would be uncomfortable working in this spacious office would be a lie. This room features another fireplace, accented with exposed white brick, a huge window that gives views of the surrounding land, and a gigantic desk for optimal working space.
Honestly, we want to meet Goldberg’s designer, because we would never go back to the office if we had this room at home! Of course, the wrestler’s personal office isn’t complete without the long picture of one of his vintage cars.
Most people would agree that they enjoy having a clean kitchen. Well, Goldberg and his wife took that notion to an extreme with this all-white setup. There is no way this room can be anything but spotless at all times.
Although this modern kitchen calls for daily cleaning, it is still magnificent with its light gray countertops and open-cabinet layout. What we’re saying is if we had this kitchen, we wouldn’t mind sitting at the island for lunch and cleaning up afterward.
The Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is massive, spanning a total of 414 square feet. It is also the last room in the house to feature a fireplace! When a person is lucky enough to have a fireplace in their bedroom, you know they’ve hit the jackpot, so why not throw a chair in the corner, too!
While Goldberg was able to start a fire for those occasional chilly California evenings, there’s also an option to open a few windows and even a door to let in the summer breeze.
Guest Bedroom Number One
This first bedroom is a football lovers’ dream. The decor consists of NFL memorabilia, including a couple of helmets in display cases and a framed picture of San Francisco 49er quarterback, Joe Montana.
The 169 square foot bedroom is perfect for anyone staying for a prolonged visit. It features a massive dresser and bed for optimal comfort, and even a private side entrance if they don’t feel like venturing through the enormous house to get to the room.
Guest Bedroom Number Two
The second bedroom has a different vibe going on. Instead of catering to Goldberg’s love for football, he went with a more rustic feel. Utilizing a lot of worn wood and muted colors to decorate the bed and accent colors on the dresser.
While this room doesn’t have a private entrance, it does have a big window right in front of the bed, allowing for a beautiful sunset and natural light. And can we also say that we love the personal reading lamps on the headboard?
Guest Bedroom Number Three
The last guest bedroom is unlike the other two in terms of style, but it very much blends with the rest of the house. While the outside of the mansion is very Mediterranean, the inside is a bit more modern with lots of white and black.
This bedroom is no different, using white and black for the bed and curtains. Although the worn-looking rustic furniture reminds us of the second room. Maybe Goldberg couldn’t decide which way he wanted to go with the third guest room.
We would like to take the time now and say how extremely jealous we are of this gorgeous master bathroom. Everything from the exposed wood of the walk-in shower to the old-school basin bathtub is absolute perfection.
Who wouldn’t want to step out of that tub and onto a fluffy pink rug? It looks like a dream. The only feature in the bathroom that has us scratching our heads is the three large windows. Hello, peeping Tom.
The Luxury Pool
What is a luxury mansion situated in sunny southern California without a pool surrounded by palm trees? Nothing. Goldberg pulled out all the stops when it came to his personal swimming pool.
This pool is extraordinary because of a few key features: a tranquil waterfall and a slide. But this isn’t an ordinary slide. This thing starts at the back patio of the house and winds all the way down through the trees and into the water!
It’s no surprise that Goldberg has his own private gym facility on his property. He is a professional athlete, after all! And after spending all day in his pristine house, he most likely enjoys getting away for a bit in a place he is overly familiar with: a room surrounded by weights.
The gym is a perfect size, too, allowing for a few Olympic bars and bench presses. We’re going to be honest, though, this room looks nice but we don’t want to know how it smells!
The Sports Court
If the pool wasn’t enough, the property also boasts a sports court. The court can be used for anything, but one of the main features is the basketball hoop and regulation lines that are painted on the blacktop.
If people feel like sitting back and watching others play, there is a fire pit off to the side with a few outdoor couches. Since this part of the property is surrounded by trees, it would be the perfect shady spot to lounge about in the summertime.
While Goldberg is a known car fanatic, his wife enjoys a different form of transportation. Mrs, Goldberg is a horse enthusiast and loves riding. Their property is the perfect place for her hobby, too.
There is a four-stall facility with a larger barn on a nearby lot and a sprawling 15-miles worth of well-maintained riding trails. Even if you’re not one to ride horses, you have to admit that the amount of land for them to get exercise is quite impressive.
Although the mansion is gorgeous, Goldberg’s pride and joy is his custom built 6,800 square foot garage that is able to house over 20 cars. During an interview with the Union-Tribune, Goldberg said, “It’s a monstrosity. My wife would never kick me out of the house because the garage is nicer.”
We don’t think we will ever be in the position to have a garage that is nicer than our actual living situation. What is that even like?!
Continued: The Garage
Goldberg’s monumental custom-built garage was a common feature on the show Dream Garages & Garage Mahal. Not surprising, considering the building houses classic cars that are right out of a collector’s dreams.
One of the cars that Goldberg is lucky enough to own is a 1970 Pontiac Trans Am pro-tourer, a classic he loves to race. He also has a 1946 Willys Jeep and a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye that cost the wrestler $70,000!
On The Market
As of 2019, Goldberg’s sprawling mansion has been on the market. The residence has been listed for a hefty price of $3.2 million. But considering all of the land and amenities that go along with the four-bedroom home, it makes sense.
We’re sorry to say that all of the cars and decor are not included! So, if you have a few extra million lying around, you’re not going to want to miss the opportunity to live in this beautifully secluded mansion.
