There are few cities in California that can compare to San Diego come summertime. The distance between you and a beach is not very far, the beaches are filled with fun-loving people, and the weather is always perfect. San Diego is also home to some of the greatest summer festivals.

Heroes Brew Craft Beer Fest
Now let’s say you like to dress up as your favorite superhero while you drink. You aren’t the only one because the Heroes Brew Craft Beer Fest is the Comic-Con of beer fests. This one takes place in mid-July also at Waterfront Park but the annual wait is completely worth it. Being able to enjoy a cold one with Batman and The Flash sounds like a fantasy come to life. There is also a prize for the best dressed to make it all that much sweeter.
Del Mar Summer Solstice

There are wineries and breweries present as well but the focus for this one is the food. And with the early bird tickets going at $75 dollars, you are guaranteed to leave satisfied. 25 restaurants and 25 wineries and breweries are sure to bring joy to your taste buds.
San Diego Pride
There is also a festival that allows those to celebrate themselves and not worry about being judged by the harsh eyes of society when looked down upon. It is called the San Diego LGBT Pride Parade and Festival. At Pride, there are several stages for entertainment that allow comedians, dancers, and musicians to come and make the festival much more entertaining. The funds generated through ticket sales, sponsorships, and beverage sales all go towards San Diego Pride’s community philanthropy. This event is as exciting as it is impactful for the community of individuals who are often treated unfairly.
San Diego Bacon Fest
As far as brew festivals go there are plenty and also more food targeted festivals. There is even the San Diego Bacon Fest that closes out the summer in the beginning of September. You are not limited to how many bacon and beer samples you can get at this fest. It sounds like a dream come true for all who love pork and brew.
