Since the dance style of “twerking” has crept into the mainstream thanks to the likes of celebrities like Miley Cyrus, girls everywhere have attempted to emulate the style. In California, a mom named Frances Hena caught her eleven year old daughter twerking at a school dance. Yikes, that’s pretty young!

In order to punish her, Frances made the girl named Jamie stand at an intersection holding a sign that read, “I was disrespecting my parents by twerking at school dance.” The mother told ABC News that she found out after her daughter’s friends told her what happened. Apparently school officials did nothing about the matter, so the Frances felt like she had to take matters into her own hands. She told ABC, “I want her to realize that she is just a child and that she can’t do that.”
