After the inauguration, Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner became a Senior Advisor to Trump. Critics say this violates a 1967 anti-nepotism law, but the Office of Legal Counsel issued a statement two days before Kushner was sworn in: “the President may appoint relatives to his immediate staff of advisors.”
