Travelling can be a daunting thing, especially for those who are nervous about their safety. Luckily, Britain's Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked the safest cities in the world.
The EIU puts out the rankings every year and bases them off of dozens of metrics including digital, personal, and health security.
The city that made the top of the list based on all of these factors is Tokyo, Japan. After that is Singapore, with Japan's Osaka rounding out the top three. The top five is completed by Amsterdam, Netherlands and Sydney, Australia.
According to the list, Washington D.C. is the safest U.S. City. It ranked seventh overall and was the only American city to make the top ten. Looks like the country has a few things to work on to get higher on the list!
