Guy Builds Dream Home In Six Weeks And It’s Insane!

Perfecting The Dome Shape

“I probably wouldn’t have built if it was a long process. The low cost and time-efficiency of using blocks is what enticed me into building,” said Areen when first questioned how he felt about his new home. Being a vagabond for the majority of his adult life, Areen was looking for a home that could provide him with freedom at a low cost that didn’t hurt the environment.

In only six weeks, Areen and his new friend worked day and night to build the entire structure literally from the ground up. Due to the lightweight consistency of the aircrete, the wooden posts were used during the building process to hold the airing cement in place to help maintain its rounded shape. Can you believe a dream home only took six weeks to build?

Making Progress On His Dream Home

Installing large wooden portholes on both sides of the dome, the two only used simple scaffolding equipment, shapers, and ladders to create the dream home. Following the pattern of the shape, the material even related in a porous-like maturation process. Throughout the home’s development, millions of tiny bubbles of hydrogen arose during the mixing and casting as the aluminum powder reacted to the calcium hydroxide contained in the concrete.

And, due to its low density, the material actually functions better in high rise buildings and even requires less steel and concrete for structure members. Basically, this is just a fancy way of saying that the concrete aired out in the form of a sponge-like substance. It certainly doesn’t look like much now, but soon you will see the payoff of all this hard work.
