Perhaps best known for the Wall of Tears that stands 65 feet high and was literally built for no reason, the Galapagos Islands were home to many prisoners in the mid 19th century.

It was used as a colony of Ecuador and emotionally drained any captives held there. They built the Wall of Tears merely to keep the prisoners working hard. The island claimed the lives of many.
