We’ve heard a lot of students refer to the first week of college classes as “syllabus week” which basically translates to, “show up if you want but you won’t learn anything for seven days.” This teacher was already over the semester the second they fired up their first-day calendar. GTFO because this teacher has no interest in teaching you anything.
