Marufuku Company

There’s a fascinating history behind the company. In 1889, Fusajiro Yamauchi began manufacturing Japenese playing cards in Kyoto. In 1947, he started a distribution company called Marufuku Co.

Four years later, the company renamed themselves Nintendo Playing Card Co. Ltd. Then, to Nintendo Co., Ltd in 1963.
